*NEW*APPLY FOR MULTI-FAMILY PARKING PERMITS HERE |
Parking regulations in the University Endowment Lands (UEL) have evolved over many years in response to growing traffic and parking pressures resulting from the close proximity of the University of British Columbia (UBC) and population growth within the UEL itself.
In response to these pressures, the UEL has implemented a parking permit and zone system to regulate the use of on-street parking in the community.
Specific parking regulations are in place for most areas of the UEL and consist of permit parking, metered parking, and "No Parking" zones.
Enforcement of UEL parking regulations is accomplished through patrols. Parking tickets are issued to vehicles in contravention. Vehicles parked in contravention are subject to towing at the owner's expense, pursuant to the parking requirements in the UEL Land Use, Building and Community Administration Bylaw.
