Multi-family Area

Streets throughout the Multi-family Area of the University Endowment Lands (UEL) are designated as Multi-family permit parking only, public pay parking (see Commercial Area), or no parking zones.

In accordance to the UEL Land Use, Building and Community Administration Bylaw, only residents of the Multi-family Area who live in buildings constructed prior to 1970 are eligible for a Multi-family Parking Permit.

Multi-family Parking Permits are issued on an annual basis and expire on September 30th of each year. While there is currently no cost for the permit, the maximum number of permits that can be issued per multi-family residence is three (3), due to the limited amount of surface parking space available. Multi-family Parking Permits are not valid in any other parking zone within the UEL.

Multi-family Parking Permits are valid only for insured vehicles. Uninsured vehicles parked on UEL roads, with or without a UEL parking permit, will be towed at the owner's expense. A valid insurance decal must be displayed in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act.

Vehicles parked in contravention of the UEL parking regulations are subject to towing at the owner's expense, pursuant to the UEL Land Use, Building and Community Administration Bylaw.
