Commercial Area
Parking on streets throughout the Commercial Area in the University Endowment Lands (UEL) is regulated by parking meters and the pay parking application, HONK Mobile.
Parking meters are in effect from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm seven days a week, including statutory holidays. The maximum parking time permitted at a meter is 2 hours.
Vehicles parked in contravention of the UEL parking regulations are subject to towing at the owner's expense, pursuant to the UEL Land Use, Building and Community Administration Bylaw.
Pay Parking Application: HONK Mobile
In addition to the coin-operated parking meters, the UEL has implemented an electronic payment option for parking using the HONK Mobile application. This service is available for parking stalls on Western Parkway, Dalhousie Road, and Allison Road around University Marketplace; along Acadia Road between Toronto Road and Ortona Road; and, on Shortcut Road and Crooked Branch Road. The application enables users to pay for or top up parking from their phone or tablet. Signage for pay parking zones is installed on streets where the application is in effect.
